This Limited Edition Dyson includes the Flat Out Tool to easily reach under furniture and appliances. Equipped with Dyson Ball technology, this upright vacuum cleaner sits on a ball for easy twisting and turning around furniture and obstacles--no more missed angles or tiresome back-and-forth vacuuming. The ball also encapsulates the machine's 11 amp motor, creating a low center of gravity for even easier maneuverability. The vacuum cleaner uses Root Cyclone technology to separate dirt from the air by centrifugal force, which ensures efficient cleaning with no clogging or loss of suction. Dyson proves no loss of suction using the IEC 60312 Cl 2.9 test standard. Effective for use on all floor types, the unit's motorized brushbar can be turned on to remove dirt and pet hair from carpets, or turned off to protect delicate rugs and floors. It also supplies a quick-draw Telescope Reach wand, which expands to offers 16 feet of reach for stairs, drapes, upholstery, and more.

Greatest Vacuum known to mankind!

Purchased this to replace my Eureka Pet Lovers vacuum since it wasn't picking up the fur good enough. Was a little skeptical about spending so much money on a vacuum, but I'm glad I did. This vacuum is AMAZING! Not only does it have great suction and can be used on both carpet and wood floors, it's also easy to manuever thanks to the ball technology. The brushroll is capable of being removed so you can easily rid any hair or string that may get wrapped around it during vacuuming. The best part is the ease of emptying the dirt from the canister. Just a push of the button releases the bottom so all debris fall straight into the trash. No need to replace any filters with this vacuum. A simple removal and rinsing in cold water every 3 months is all it takes to keep this vacuum in great condition.
The only negative thing about this vacuum that I found was the expandable wand. It's not the easiest thing to detach from the vacuum. It also causes the vacuum to fall over if you're using it and moving around a bit (the hose doesn't expand enough). Other than that is't a dream come true. It picked up cat hair that my other vacuum didn't have the suction/power to do. Definitely recommended for anybody who owns a pet or just wants a vacuum that will get the dirt out of your carpet that you didn't even know was there. Thank you Dyson, this product is amazing!!! |

I have had this for a week now and have been very happy so far. Compared to some of the old vacs I have owned (5+), this is the best one so far!! It meets our main requirements of being lightweight, powerful/efficient at what its supposed to do and versatile. This is an extremely well designed product and a good looking one as well! Its definitely the BMW of vacs!!! With its swiveling head. long cord, one-pass-picks-up-everything power and light weight, I was able to finish the job in less than half the time. Moreover it does such a thorough job that I probably won't need to use it quite as often. The attachments are quite useful as well. Great product, big fan now!!!
WOW. I'm now a believer.

This is an amazing machine. It will revolutionize cleaning in my house, to be sure. Easy to assemble, even easier to maneuver, and 100% effective at both thorough cleaning and moving from one floor surface to another. It is not heavy, despite what you may read elsewhere, and does a better job of cleaning all of my floors than any other vacuum I've owned over the past 30 years. I'm now cursing myself for not buying a Dyson 14 months ago when I bought the last vacuum--which died and went to the curb last week, just out of warranty, of course. Shop around for a good deal (I shopped originally for the DC 25 all floor, but managed to get this new model for the old model's price from a hometown dealer). This vacuum is worth the expense. You will agree after one go-around in your home.

This is my first Dyson after going through 3 $200+ Hoovers in the past year. We have 3 pets and vacuum all the time. I absolutely love this vacuum and should have spent the money the in the first place on it than wear out 3 junky vacuum cleaners that won't last. I will never buy anything buy Dyson again.
Quality vs Quantity

I purchased this vacuum with a little apprehension. I have learned that high price does not equal high quality. Reading past reviews, I saw that people were disappointed, however I do believe that they were expecting more due to brand association and price. I have used a Kirby Legend II, the Hoover Platinum and a in home central vacuum system. Compared the the Kirby it is much lighter and easier to use, the Kirby also has to have regular belt and bag changes. The Kirby is a very powerful machine, but for it's size and weight you would expect that. Overall the Kirby was/is much more expensive but had quality you could feel. The Hover Platinum is the closest vacuum that could compare to the Dyson. The brush head and canister are larger, and the cord is longer, these points alone made me almost purchase that instead. It also has an indicator light that lets you know if the carpet in clean or dirty, a novelty item, but fun to watch. What sold me on the Dyson was the ball and the ease of maneuvering and pivoting. The house vacuum is just convenient and will spoil you. However it is very expensive and is usually installed while the house is being built. The best thing about the house vacuum is the option of having suction levers along the baseboards around the house where you please. The kitchen is a great place to have one, if there is a small spill, just flip the lever, grab a broom and sweep it in the wall. No vacuum can compare in my opinion. With that said, the Dyson is a less expensive option that is comparable in terms of convenience. I also own a Roomba, which is a lifesaver, especially when it comes to an easy daily vacuuming all around the house and leaving the deep vacuuming to once a week. If you own a pet or keep or windows open often, get a Roomba. Overall I would recommend this vacuum. It is light, effortless, convenient and good looking too. My only complaint is the plastic used, I would have thought it would have been thicker and denser, but that is what makes it so light, however I would have rather had denser plastic than a lighter vacuum.
